For more than 125 years, Austria’s steepest cog railway has been taking enthusiasts up to the 1,783 m high Schafberg in St. Wolfgang in the Salzkammergut. The journey takes 30 minutes, and magnificent views and a pleasant ride are guaranteed! Perfect combination: the Schafberg Railway and Wolfgangsee boat trip can be perfectly combined with long or short hikes, and bicycles can be easily taken on board the boat.

Across Salzburg in one to two hours? At the foot of the Untersberg in Salzburg’s largest museum, the Salzburg Open-Air Museum, this is possible. Here you can take a hike through all five districts of the province.
