In the northeast of Salzburg, surrounded by wonderful nature, the 901-meter-high Heuberg rises, which is one of the most popular excursion destinations in Salzburg. The Heubergstraße is the entry point to the hiking trail and allows you to take on the leisurely Heuberg round spontaneously. Hiking shoes and a bottle of water as provisions are sufficient as “equipment.” The inns Schöne Aussicht and DaxLueg, which warmly welcome you on the mountain, take care of the well-deserved snack. Do you already have a favorite season on the Heuberg? Many of its lovers swear by the great sunsets in spring when trees, bushes, and meadow flowers are in full bloom. Or do you prefer to conquer the small mountain in summer when the mown meadows smell of fresh hay and a freshly tapped refreshment awaits you in the inn? Dedicated hikers swear by the colorful autumn leaves, but winter also has plenty of charm when the city lights and the fresh snow shine brightly. The start is Heubergstraße opposite the Obus stop Gnigl, then continue towards the inn "Schöne Aussicht", where you turn into the hiking trail. At the first fork at the forest edge, go steeply to the right through the forest. The highest point of the Heuberg is marked with a small cross.

If you want to get to the Heuberg simply and easily, get off the bus lines 2 or 23 directly at the Obus turnaround in Gnigl.
