Board the cable cars in Neukirchen or Bramberg, ride up to the mountain station at about 2,100 m above sea level and take a moment to enjoy the fantastic view from Wildkogel of the many peaks of the High Tauern. The Wildkogel high-altitude hiking area lies at the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps and offers, in addition to panoramic circular trails that are also stroller-friendly, medium to challenging hikes on Wildkogel.
The hiking trails in the Wildkogel area offer an incredible variety: from leisurely high-altitude hikes with panoramic views of the surrounding peaks to more challenging routes for experienced mountain hikers – there is something for every level. Especially popular is the panorama trail, which offers a breathtaking view of the highest peaks of the Kitzbühel Alps. On clear days, you can even see the Großglockner, Austria’s highest mountain.
The region is also known for its unique natural and cultural highlights. Along the way, hikers can stop at mountain huts to enjoy regional specialties such as speck, cheese, and fresh mountain herbs. If lucky, you might also spot native animals such as ibex or chamois in the wild.

Directions
You take the Wildkogelbahn I and II up to 2091 m, then turn right towards the Smaragdbahn mountain station. After that, you just follow the signs and at the end return to the Wildkogelbahn mountain station.
