exciting forest adventure trail for kids in Krispl-Gaissau

Come along on a child-friendly adventure hike with many activity stations against the brilliant panorama of the Schlenken and Schmittenstein.

We start the hike at the “Gaißau Spielbergalm Lift” stop, where we first take the path along the road to the Schmittenstüberl inn, where the actual themed trail begins. The path leads behind the inn into the forest, where the first play station with balancing trees starts after just a few meters. Lovingly designed (a total of 10) stations and explanatory signs let the children linger at each station and immerse themselves in play. Highlights of the themed trail for our children included the zip line, the brilliant water playground, and the stone circle. The path leads through the forest and over blooming alpine meadows, always with an impressive panorama in view.

The hike is just right for small and big enthusiasts but also beginner-friendly and invites you to enjoy nature, take your time, observe, and comfortably picnic in between.

Directions

From the bus stop, we follow the road about 20 minutes slightly uphill to the Schmittenstüberl inn. There the themed trail begins and first leads around behind the inn into a forest. Here, the path goes along several stations first on a forest road slightly uphill until the path leads onto a hiking trail over the beautifully blooming alpine meadows. In a well-marked loop, we finally come back to the starting point of the forest adventure trail at the inn.
