From the Marble Village Adnet to Hallein

WITH THE GREATLY EXPANDED BUS SERVICE FROM HALLEIN TO ADNET AND RETURN ON QUIET PATHS THROUGH THE ROMANTIC ADNETER MOOS AND ACROSS THE ADNETER RIDGE.

Marble on one side and the damp moor on the other, between them, on a secure elevation, the town of Adnet. All areas are valuable in their own way. On the east side the marble quarries, where the unique stone has been extracted for centuries, to the west opposite the protected landscape area Adneter Moos, which has only been truly appreciated in recent decades. Wonderful circular trails lead both over the Marble Mountain and through the low moor. The path to Hallein uses the moor trail and crosses one of the last large wet meadow complexes in the Tennengau. Right at the beginning, a rotating seasonal clock shows the respective seasonal special features. The route over the Adneter ridge then becomes very secluded, offering quite unusual perspectives on the town of Hallein and the Barmstein peaks.

Directions

From the Adnet town center bus stop, the route follows the main road, which passes the church on the right towards Waidach. Right below the church begins the 1.7 km long adventure trail, which crosses into the Waidach district. There, the adventure trail sharply turns right; our briefly unmarked route to Hallein continues straight through the settlement and meets the connecting road towards Bad Vigaun. Along this road, continue 600 meters on the right side until in a sharp curve near a striking, solitary tree, the now marked path turns right. The shady forest path follows the ridge line for over 1 km and then turns to the sunny side. With a view of the Salzach valley, the farm meadow is crossed, as is the narrow road, then continue on a private path past a horse enclosure downhill to the motorway. Now a short stretch to the right along the A10, then left over the bridge and again right onto Bürgermeisterstraße to Hallein hospital. Here there is a first opportunity to board the city buses (44, 41), or the path continues to Europastraße, along this to the left to an underpass and then on the left side along Tschusistraße through another underpass to Hallein station.
