Following dinosaur tracks through the Glasenbach Gorge
The Glasenbach Gorge is the insider tip for Salzburg’s amateur paleontologists. Walking through the beautiful gorge, there are many fossils and prehistoric discoveries to be found. But the surrounding nature and the Klausbach stream are also breathtakingly beautiful.
At the entrance to the gorge, the Salzburg geology educational trail also begins and transports you to the time of dinosaurs and reptiles, which are depicted by various sculptures along the way. The surroundings are simply impressive: steep cliffs, a clear cool mountain stream, smaller and larger pools inviting you to splash and swim.
The route can be made as long or as short as you like, as you return along the same path.

From the bus stop, take the Lohhäuselweg to the start of the Glasenbach Gorge. From there, you can walk as far as you like through the gorge on easy paths suitable for strollers. The paths are flat and easy to manage even with a stroller or balance bike.
