Directions
The hike starts directly in the village, right at the bus stop 📍St. Wolfgang in the Salzkammergut Au. The path leads left up the street toward Vormauralm. After about 20 minutes you reach the forest road, which you follow further. Most of the path runs through the forest and is partly a bit steep, but not particularly difficult to walk. The path itself is very beautiful and repeatedly offers benches for a short rest where you can enjoy nature and the magnificent view of Wolfgangsee.🌿 You follow the forest road until you reach the Vormaueralm. Past the huts, turn right toward the summit of Vormauerstein. For the last short section, you should be sure-footed – it is not a very difficult passage, but caution is advised. After the short scramble, you will be rewarded with a wonderful view of Wolfgangsee and the surrounding mountains. ❗️Especially with children, caution is advised at the summit area due to the risk of falling. Return to the starting point via the same route.
