Dientalm 1.400 m
Temporarily closedThe Dientalm – a real traditional alpine pasture – is located between Mühlbach am Hochkönig and Dienten directly at the Dientnersattel at 1400m. We are open from around mid-May to around the end of September and are on the alp with our animals (cows, calves, horses). One of the 13 herbal mountain pastures in the Hochkönig region.
The Dientalm, a genuine, traditionally organically managed alpine pasture, is located directly on the Dientnersattel at 1400m. You can easily reach us on foot or also by car. When the weather is nice, you can enjoy the beautiful landscape in peace and quiet and fortify yourself with refreshing homemade juices and an alpine snack with products from our own farm. If the weather doesn’t invite you to go hiking, you can enjoy an oatmeal of coffee and a good piece of cake in the hut and warm yourself in the cosy Zirbenstub’n at the heated tiled stove.
A play area and a small mountain stream are particularly appealing to our younger guests. Our highlight – every day from 4.45 p.m. you can watch and help the mountain farmers milking the cows.
Herbal enjoyment with Paula Bründl: Mountain roulade – buckwheat roulade filled with cranberry curd and meadow herbs
Product in the herb box: “In the middle of the wood” incense blend
Surprise for children: Felt ball olive/pastel green, animal story “Brilli, the snowed-in sheep from the Dientalm”
Hiking tip: around the Tiergartenalm and the Dientalm
