The Niggeltalalm in Niggeltal is a family-friendly hiking destination featuring a playground, animals, a stream, a pond and homemade alpine products.

The Niggeltalalm, also known as the Igltalalm, is situated at an altitude of 1,507 metres and is an ideal hiking destination for families with children. It takes around 1 hour to reach this cosy alpine hut, which is also popular with mountain bikers. There is plenty for children to discover: a playground, small animals to stroke, a stream, a waterwheel and a pond. The hut treats visitors to a traditional Alpine platter of homemade delicacies such as bread, butter, cheese, bacon and sausage. A few metres from the Niggeltalalm, a cross invites hikers to pause for a moment. With a bit of luck, you can spot chamois on the rock faces in the Niggeltal. The valley is particularly impressive in early summer, when alpine and mountain flowers bloom in a riot of colours, and in autumn, when the larch trees turn a golden yellow.
