The ‘Bürgl’, as it is affectionately called by the locals, lies in a marvellous alpine landscape. A gigantic panoramic view of the magnificent mountain world of the Hohe Tauern, the Dientner Grasberge, the Leoganger Steinberge and the Steinernes Meer opens up here. The Hochkönig towers imposingly and majestically above it all. One of the 13 herb alms in the Hochkönig region.
In summer, the organic milk from our alpine farmers Richard and Johanna Bürgler, the wonderful alpine herbs from our mountain meadows and the valuable meat from the “Pongauer Wild” gourmet region inspire Gabi Bürgler and her crew time and again to create new dishes. In the show kitchen, they are constantly working on new delicacies and making something out of everything that grows on the doorstep. Cheese, butter, bread, aspic, game pâtés, all kinds of herbal syrups and delicious jams and mustards are produced.
Wine from the well-stocked selection of top Austrian vintners is recommended to go with it.
The hut owners are particularly proud of their award as a “Genussalm”.
