Temporarily closedThe Hochsonnbergalm at 1,841 m above sea level is a popular excursion destination and can be reached on many paths and marked mountain bike trails.
The rustic alpine hut is located in the middle of the certified hiking villages of Piesendorf Niedernsill and is also an ideal starting point for numerous hiking routes such as the “Pinzgauer Spaziergang”, to the Schmittenhöhe, to Saalbach or to Stuhlfelden.
In the cosy hut hikers and mountain bikers are spoiled with Pinzgau specialities or a hearty alpine snack. A unique natural spectacle awaits you on the sun terrace: idyllic Tauern valleys surrounded by the 3000 m high peaks of the Hohe Tauern and rugged glaciers.
