Temporarily closedThe cosy Edtalmhütte is located in the heart of the varied Dachstien-West hiking region, picturesquely framed by the panorama of the Dachstein massif and the Gosaukamm.
The popular destination for hikers and mountain bikers can be reached via various family-friendly and challenging tours, with easy and challenging long-distance and high-altitude hikes starting directly from the hut.
For families, the Hornbahn cable car with the subsequent “Ameisexpress” slow train is a great way to get to the hut.
Hut host Günter “Joe” Hofer places particular emphasis on high-quality, regional products in his alpine cuisine. He offers his guests carefully selected, traditional and vegetarian dishes, supported by fresh herbs from his own garden.
The Edtalmhütte is open daily from the beginning of June to the end of September.
