To pay fitting tribute to Prof. Gottfried Kumpf, the road is named in his birthplace after him in the summer of 2005 in Annaberg. 2006, the so-called “owl fountain” erected to his design before the main school. The bronze Kumpf Owl is a gift to his home community.
