Pronebenalm 1.280 m
Temporarily closedOur rustic alpine pasture at 1300 m offers a breathtaking view of the mountain village of Mühlbach and the mighty Hochkönig massif – a real treat! The cosy “Path of Good Thoughts” leads from the Paussbauer Inn to the Proneben Alm. Many nice plaques with meaningful sayings invite you to linger and pause. One of the 13 herbal mountain pastures in the Hochkönig region.
Our speciality is homemade herbal salts. Ingredients: natural rock salt, dried garden and wild herbs (lovage, oregano, tarragon, leek, sage, celery, dandelion, ribwort, goutweed, nettle as well as marigold, cornflower and rose blossoms in varying quantities). Or bake your own herb rolls with spelt and rye flour, salt, nettle, thyme and rosemary, with flowers from our Alpine meadows on top – the recipe is available from us at the Alm.
For our younger guests there are lots of animals – goats, donkeys, cats, rabbits, cows and calves – to keep them entertained.
Herbal enjoyment with Paula Bründl: Grass-green semolina dumplings served in beef soup

Surprise for children: Felt ball dark green, animal story “Emil, the high-spirited donkey from the Pronebenalm”
