Seisenbergklamm gorge
Temporarily closedWater, rock and a touch of mystery: walk through the Seisenbergklamm gorge on wooden walkways and discover the power of nature – guided by the legendary gorge spirit.
Near Weißbach by Lofer, the Weißbach stream has carved a dramatic gorge into the rock over thousands of years. Formed at the end of the last Ice Age, the Seisenbergklamm gorge is a striking natural monument that vividly shows the power of water. Wooden walkways lead you safely for around 600 metres through the narrow canyon. Between steep rock walls, the rushing water forms swirling pools and smooth rock surfaces, creating a constantly changing natural spectacle.
Families especially enjoy the playful nature trail through the gorge. The mysterious “gorge spirit” accompanies young explorers along the path and shares fascinating facts about nature and the surrounding landscape. At the end of the gorge, the valley opens up again. From here you can return comfortably to the starting point or continue walking along the stream towards the Hintertal.
A memorable outing that combines nature, discovery and a touch of local legend.
