Erentrudisalm & Fageralm round from Glasenbach
A great family hike that can be done almost year-round to the most popular alpine pastures around the city of Salzburg. After just a short travel time, this hike entices with beautiful and varied nature, wonderful views of Salzburg, delicious food at the alpine huts, and plenty of opportunities for children to play.
Erentrudisalm and Fageralm probably belong to the favorite destinations of the people of Salzburg throughout the year. This family hike offers breathtaking views over the city of Salzburg and the surrounding mountain landscape. The route leads over side roads, alpine pasture paths, and root-covered trails to the Erentrudisalm, where a large adventure playground awaits as a reward. Culinary delights are also offered at Erentrudisalm. Alternatively, a few hundred meters further along the route, the Fageralm awaits hungry hikers. There is also a nice playground here as well as a rabbit enclosure. Both alpine huts are great for a well-deserved break.
On the way back, the route also passes a section through the Glasenbachklamm – anyone with time and energy should definitely visit the ravine and the geo-trail.

Directions
The starting point for this hike is the Elsbethen Glasenbach (B) or Elsbethen Rainerkaserne stop. From there, you head towards the Glasenbachklamm, through the forest in the direction of Gfalls, then over alpine meadows with numerous breathtaking views of the Hohensalzburg Fortress up to the Erentrudisalm or Fageralm. On the way back, you either return the same way, follow the circular route from Erentrudis, or optionally take a circular route that leads back via the Fageralm through the Glasenbachklamm. This path is narrower and requires a bit more surefootedness. We truly recommend this beautiful and eventful hike.
