The Asitzkopf, with its height of 1,913 m, offers a picturesque circular route with fantastic views of the surrounding mountains.
The ascent is relatively easy and the hiking trail is well-developed, making it suitable for the whole family. Those wanting a bit more adventure can extend the hike along various high routes, but even the shorter trail to the summit of the Asitzkopf is worthwhile. At the top, you will be rewarded with a stunning view of the Kitzbühel Alps and the wide valley – a perfect place to take a break and enjoy nature.
The return route can also be done via the circular path, which takes you along the Asitz ridge and further down to the mountain station. The path is overall well signposted and can be enjoyed at a relaxed pace.

The hike begins with a relaxing ride on the Asitzbahn, which takes you up to the mountain station at about 1,913 m elevation. Once there, follow the well-marked route towards Asitzkopf. The path leads through beautiful mountain landscapes and repeatedly offers impressive views of the Pinzgau valley and the surrounding peaks.

Coming from Salzburg, you reach the Leogang Asitzbahnen bus stop as follows: first take bus 260 to Saalfelden Am Postplatz bus stop, then change at Saalfelden Post Office to bus 690 to the Leogang Asitzbahnen bus stop.
