Hike to the stunning Hochkeil with mirror lake
Beautiful panoramic route in the Mühlbach am Hochkönig region with constant views of the spectacular Mandl walls. The highlight is the detour to the small mirror lake.
The hike to Hochkeil starts at the parking lot near the Arthurhaus.
The hike is especially gorgeous in late summer and autumn. But not only the summit of Hochkeil with its fantastic panoramic view of the peaks of the High and Low Tauern, the Tennengebirge, and the Mandl walls of the Hochkönig is worth the hike. Also, the detour to the small mountain lake rewards with its idyllic location amidst a moor landscape and the beautiful reflection of the Mandl walls.

Directions
From Arthurhaus, follow path number 84 on wide, gravel paths uphill. The ascent is moderate and easy to manage. Shortly before the summit, turn right to take a small detour to the idyllic mirror lake. From there, return to the main path and overcome the last meters to the Hochkeil summit cross. The same path leads back.
