The Panoramic Railway Kitzbüheler Alpen I and II comfortably takes you up to 1,894 m altitude. Up there, you are greeted by an easy, stroller-friendly circular path around a small lake – perfect for families and those who want to relax.

The route starts very relaxed with the Panoramic Railway Kitzbüheler Alpen I and II, which takes you comfortably up to 1,894 m above sea level. At the top, a splendid panorama of the surrounding mountains unfolds. Right at the mountain station starts a short, flat circular hiking trail around an idyllic small lake.

The path is wide, well-paved, and therefore easily walkable with a stroller – ideal for families with small children, but also for everyone who wants to enjoy nature without overcoming major altitude differences. Benches along the path invite you to linger, and the view of the Kitzbühel Alps is simply breathtaking. An easy but rewarding excursion for all ages.

The route begins with a comfortable ride on the Panoramic Railway Kitzbüheler Alpen I and II. In just a few minutes, you float up to about 1,894 meters above sea level – the ride itself offers magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. At the top, you will find a spacious area with many play options for children right at the mountain station – ideal to let off steam before or after the walk. From here, just follow the signs towards “small lake circular route.” The leisurely loop leads once around the small, idyllic lake and offers great views of the Kitzbühel Alps along the way. Benches invite you to rest and enjoy. After the round, you can linger a bit at the playground or refuel near the mountain station before heading back down by railway.

Coming from Salzburg, you reach the Hollersbach Panoramic Railway bus stop as follows: first take the S3 towards Zell am See station, then change at Zell am See station to bus 670 to the Hollersbach Panoramic Railway bus stop.
