Pinzgau Impressions in Lend – Embach
PEACEFUL TIME IN THE FARM VILLAGE
Come, let’s have a holiday at the farm! Embach is considered the largest farm village in Salzburg. Farming tradition and rural culture are highly valued here. If you are looking for a different pastime, you can try bread baking, a pottery course, an herb garden hike, or mountain golf. The charming high plateau of Embach is perfect for beginners and experts alike with its original golf stations. Farm carts and old utensils have been repurposed for hitting and putting. Guaranteed fun! A meditative, calming atmosphere welcomes you in the Spiritual Center in the “Room of Silence” on the church hill in Embach. This heavenly place is always open and allows visitors to pause and reflect. Also worth seeing is the 450-year-old pilgrimage site Maria Elend with its chapel of grace and the pietà made of cast stone—not to forget the “Eyewell.” In contrast, Lend is an industrial location. Both places lie close together in the beautiful Hohe Tauern National Park. Almost picturesque is the 5-kilometer-long footpath from Embach to Lend that connects the two villages. Last but not least, the fabulous view into the Dientner Valley with the Hochkönig mountain impresses as a backdrop. The Verwesschloss, former residence of the archbishop’s mountain and hut administrator, now houses the municipal office of Lend.
