The Mühlenrundweg in Oberscheffau in the Lammertal

This dreamlike hike along rushing water, waterfalls, and a beautiful old mill is especially suitable for hot, midsummer days.

Right opposite the well-known Lammerklamm there is a hiking path that is at least just as impressive but less known and can even be used for free. The first part of the hike leads over the Herzerlweg and it quickly becomes clear where the name comes from: Herzerl accompany you step by step.

One thing is for sure: along the icy cold mountain river the temperatures remain in a pleasant range. After the first part, it slowly goes uphill, always following the sound of the water, the path leads to a total of two impressive waterfalls: the Schwarzbachfall and the Winnerfall (the latter is only seasonal during snowmelt or after rain, making it something very special).

The hike is a mix of forest path, gravel road, plain, and steep trail and is also very feasible for children and dogs.
