Water routes from Hintersee to the Ladenbergalm and the Bergalm

Accompanied by the rustling of the streams, the forest path climbs up to two alpine pastures in the Osterhorn group.

The path to the Ladenbergalm is lined with numerous waterfalls. In spring, the meltwater rushes thunderously over the rocks and flows into the Ladenbach. At the Hanslkirche, a somewhat hidden rock cave, you can even go behind the cascade. The mountain pasture then invites you for a long rest. In spring, the alpine meadow is full of delicate crocuses. On the descent, the water splashes again.

Directions

From the village center of Hintersee, after the Alte Krämerei, turn left onto the Josef-Mohr-Weg along the Ladenbach. At the Mohr Chapel, take the bridge over the stream and continue to the Satzstein parking lot. Follow the signpost to the Ladenbergalm on the forest road heading southwest and at the first hairpin turn, turn right onto the narrower old alpine pasture path. This now runs along the Ladenbach past several waterfalls. At the forest road, turn right; after a short stretch, a steep forest path branches off to the left. After about 50 meters, a detour to the Hanslkirche is worthwhile on the left. You have to scramble a little on the way to the rock cave, but standing once behind a waterfall is well worth it. Back on the forest path, the Ladenbergalm is finally reached. The path leads through the meadows behind the huts, turning left back into the forest. After a short descent, the trail continues left to the saddle (1,287 m), which has its own summit cross on the alpine meadow. To the left, a beautiful alpine path crosses over to the Bergalm. In spring, the alpine meadow is full of delicate crocuses. After the well-deserved refreshment, descend through a woodland section to the Obertiefenbachalm. Continue along the forest road toward Hintersee, then turn right onto the forest-water-magic path, which follows the Tiefenbach back to Satzstein. Here you can also admire some waterfalls. Return via the Mohrweg to the Hintersee bus stop.
