Filbling crossing from Fuschl to Hof
Hidden Filbling Lake and flowery summit ridge above Lake Fuschl
From Fuschl Oberbrunn you always go up steep forest roads through the forest until you reach the idyllic Filbling Lake at 1,064 m in a hollow. The charming and quiet retreat lies in a landscape conservation area. The moor lake has a rich flora and fauna. Maybe you’ll spot some frogs or tadpoles in spring? The route continues over a rocky forest ridge to the open, flowery summit ridge. From there you can see Lake Fuschl, which already invites you to swim with its emerald green color from up here, and the rocky Schober behind it. On the southern side stretches the wooded Osterhorn group. Afterwards, we follow the rooty, long mountain ridge, continuously in shady forest, down toward Hof.

Directions
From the bus stop, walk back a bit, then turn into Filblingstraße and immediately continue on the E4. Follow this forest road until a small detour to Filbling Lake is possible. Continue on the E4 to the highest point, then turn right and climb the last 200 meters in elevation to the summit, steeper and more rocky. The long, flat summit ridge invites you to take a break; from there you have a better view than from the summit cross. Then follow the mountain ridge along rooty paths heading toward Hof. Almost at the bottom, the path leads in a right curve onto a forest road. Turn left there. Further down, turn right onto a field path. In Hinterberg, turn left through the town to the bus stop Schloss Fuschl on the federal road.
