Power place in the middle of the city of Salzburg
FROM THE LOWER CAVE TO THE GAISBERG
Mossy fragrant and peaceful – a small mystical oasis is the former English landscape park, today known as Aigner Park. If you only have time for a shorter tour today, the S3 takes you from Salzburg main station to the Salzburg Aigen S-Bahn station. There, at the foot of the Gaisberg, this special park awaits to be explored. Directly behind Aigen Castle begins the vast green and tree area. The castle was used during World War II by the Reich Labor Service and the Red Cross. After many changes of ownership, the castle is now owned by the Revertera family, an old Central European noble family. Once there, a fascinating world opens up! The park, created in 1780, is now a protected landscape area. Enchanting are paths, waterfalls, viewpoints, and even caves such as the Lower Cave. The Illuminati Height („illuminati“ = the enlightened) testifies to the presence of a lodge that was once based here. The element water was already considered a symbol of purity and healing two thousand years ago and runs along many paths through the park. If after all these historical impressions you still feel like more exercise, simply complete the two and a half hour hike to the Gaisberg summit and enjoy the view over Salzburg.

Directions
There is no main path in the park itself. Numerous trails wind through the forest and invite discovery. The park is excellent for creative children's play, but unfortunately not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs.
