From Seeham into the Devil’s Ditch
THE HEAVENLY DEVIL’S DITCH IS A HIKING PARADISE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY. A SHORT VERSION STARTS AT THE MATZING STOP, THE LONG LOOP BEGINS IN THE TOWN OF SEEHAM.
The Seeham region is fully committed to the sustainable organic philosophy. Gigantism is out of place here; nature itself is magnificent enough. One of these natural gems is the Devil’s Ditch with the unexpectedly wild karst waterfall at this spot. Its foaming appearance owes to the hard rock ridge crossing here. Various mills also immediately use the power of the stream for their purposes: at the waterfall there is a ball mill; shortly afterwards upstream awaits the Röhrmoos Mill (closed Wed and Thu) showing insights into the art of grain milling. Another highlight at the end of the eventful round could be the bee experience trail. For two themes, the exhibition pavilion and the beehouse, there is a separate access authorization at the tourist info next to the church.

Directions
From the Seeham town center bus stop, the initially unmarked route leads a few meters into the village and then follows Wiesenbergstraße to the left for 1.3 km to the junction of the Via Nova pilgrimage route to the left. The paved path runs to the Tobel mill at the beginning of the Devil's Ditch. Past the spectacular high ropes course and many other stations, the nature experience trail penetrates deeper into the forest and finally reaches the three-stage wild karst waterfall. A few minutes further into the ditch is the Röhrmoos Mill, where there are delicacies to see and eat. The return path branches off before the snack station and now follows the ascending Via Nova route or trail See 3 (Seeham via Thur) along the access road for 800 meters to Röhrmooshof. Opposite, the marked path crosses to the right into the forest and after a 1 km long, partly marshy section, meets a road again. This road leads twice right toward Thur. Shortly after Thurerhof, a field path branches off to the left and follows the sign Jägersteig down into the Pfarrgraben. Along the cool stream, the loop closes 1 km later in Seeham.
