Picturesquely nestled between steep rock faces lies the Hintersee. The valley closing basin of the Felber Valley is defined by the mountain lake, which was formed in 1495 due to a rockslide. The icy cold water of the lake is so clear that one can see to the bottom and the fish frolicking in it.
