Liechtenstein Gorge
Roaring water, towering rock walls and striking architecture: the Liechtenstein Gorge is one of the most impressive natural spectacles in the Alps.
The Liechtenstein Gorge is one of the longest and deepest gorges in the Alps, offering a truly spectacular natural experience. Between rock walls rising up to 200 metres high, the rushing waters of the Großarler Ache carve their way through the narrow canyon, while fine mist fills the air and sunlight creates shimmering rainbows.
Walkways, galleries and tunnels guide you safely through this dramatic landscape. One of the highlights is the impressive spiral staircase known as the “Helix”. This striking steel structure descends around 30 metres into the gorge, offering breathtaking views of the rushing water and the surrounding rock formations.
The combination of wild nature and modern architecture makes a visit especially memorable. The thunder of the water, moss-covered rocks and the mystical atmosphere of the narrow canyon accompany you along the entire route.
A destination where powerful natural forces and remarkable design come together in a truly unique way.
