At the NationalparkWorlds in Mittersill, you embark on a fascinating journey through one of the most spectacular alpine landscapes. Across ten themed worlds, you explore the diversity of the Hohe Tauern – from glaciers and wild waters to mountain forests and alpine pastures.
The exhibition combines knowledge with experience. Interactive displays, authentic exhibits and thoughtfully designed spaces bring nature to life. You’ll encounter alpine wildlife, learn about the formation of the Alps and gain insight into ecological processes. A highlight is the impressive 360° panorama cinema. From summit views to glacier interiors, it offers unique perspectives of the landscape. The latest film takes you into the remote Sulzbachtäler wilderness, revealing how this untouched environment is constantly changing.
More than just a museum, the National Park Worlds invite you to explore, understand and truly experience alpine nature. Your visit can also be rounded off with a stop at the National Park shop, which offers regional products, books, maps and small gift ideas. It is also worth visiting on its own.

Take the regional bus 670 or the Pinzgau Lokalbahn train to Mittersill. From the railway station, it is about a 10-minute walk to the NationalparkWorlds Hohe Tauern. If you are travelling by bus, get off at "Mittersill Stadtplatz" - from there, it is about a 6-minute walk to the attraction. Current timetables are available at salzburg-verkehr.at
