At the foot of the Krimml Waterfalls, the WasserWelten combine play, discovery and hands-on learning around the fascinating element of water.

Right beside the Krimml Waterfalls, the WasserWelten offer a family-friendly excursion that brings together nature, discovery and knowledge in a vivid and enjoyable way. Everything here revolves around water – its force, its beauty and its importance for people, animals and the wider environment. The setting alone makes a strong impression, with the powerful waterfalls providing a dramatic backdrop that immediately draws you into the theme.

Throughout the water park, interactive stations invite visitors to explore water with all their senses. At one point, you are experimenting; at another, balancing, turning, listening or observing. Children can set off with the water activity pass, solve tasks and uncover some of water’s secrets in a playful and engaging way. Sound installations, movement-based elements, water games and technical features such as the Archimedean screw give the visit a lively rhythm and plenty of variety.

The experience continues in the House of Water, home to the exhibition “Faces of Water”. Here, the journey of water is presented in an accessible and imaginative way, from tiny molecules to global connections and natural cycles. The special effects of the fine spray from the Krimml Waterfalls are also explored. Altogether, the WasserWelten are far more than a classic attraction – they are a place to wonder, take part and reflect, set within one of Salzburg’s most impressive natural landscapes.
