From Golling to the Bluntautal
The Bluntautal is considered a landscape protection area and a local recreation area; it lies idyllically in the green near the Salzburg community of Golling.
It does not always have to be ‘over stock and stone.’ Even in the mountains, there are cozy routes without major inclines, which can easily be mastered with a stroller. One of these starts in the southwest of Golling on the Salzach and leads you along the road (with a high proportion of road) into the fairytale land of the Bluntautal nature reserve. Here, the 1,500-meter-high walls of the Göllstock literally bend down to you. The rugged rocks are reflected in the clear water of the Torrener Ache and the beautiful Bluntau lakes. Anyone who has enjoyed this view knows that this circular route is worth a walk at any time of the year.
How good it feels to dip your tired feet into icy cold water. Either share the pleasure with the brook trout in the cold stream or wait until you reach the small Kneipp facility located at the roadside. Your physical well-being is taken care of in the inns Bärenhof or Göllhof. Or you simply bring your own picnic basket. Don’t forget to take photos of the many viewpoints and visit the waterfall ten minutes away from Bärenhof.
