Once around Lake Fuschl
PICTURESQUE CIRCULAR HIKING TRAIL FROM FUSCHL VIA HOF FOR EVERY SEASON
Cozy, pleasantly shady forests, a turquoise blue lake, and an impressive view of the peaks of the surrounding mountains: Fuschlsee has everything that day-trippers and holidaymakers in the Salzburg region need to be happy. The path runs almost entirely close to the shore, and when it does move slightly away, the little detour into the surrounding nature reserve forests is all the more worthwhile.
Had enough walking? The lake is known for its exceptionally good water quality. If you can’t resist the lure of the water, you’ll find a nice spot with access to the cool water every few meters. If you wish, you can also shorten the circular route by half to extend your bathing pleasure. Between the lakeside promenade and Schlossfischerei, the “Zille,” a rustic wooden boat, runs back and forth. Step on board and enjoy the new perspective. Experts recommend choosing the “north route” between the castle and town for the footpath, as it offers the most beautiful views of the lake. All that’s really missing are a few relaxing hours at the beach promenade to make the day perfect. There, Fuschl am See shows its most charming side with small cafés and restaurants. Enjoy the play of colors in the sky as the sunset bathes the picturesque lakeside landscape in its magical light.
