Ski tour to Dürrnbachhorn (Unken)
Winter paradise Heutal
The Heutal is a beautiful high valley in the Chiemgau Alps. In this winter paradise, there is a small family-friendly ski area with three drag lifts, 50 km of cross-country ski trails, and several ski touring destinations, such as towards Dürrnbachhorn via the ski slopes or to Sonntagshorn in the open terrain. Because of the high starting altitude of 1,000 m, snow can be expected throughout the winter. The Heutal shuttle (info on the ski area website) is timed to match bus 260 and is free in winter.

Directions
The piste route leads, seen from the valley, to the far left of the slopes over the Wildalm to the Gimplingsattel. Those who wish can now ascend in the open terrain up to a saddle of the Dürrnbachhorn and, in good conditions, possibly continue to the Dürrnbachhorn summit. The descent takes place over the ski slopes. Alternatively, it is also possible to ascend through the Fuchstal valley in open terrain. Both options are shown on a large information board in the valley.
