The Forest Idyll Path in Bayrisch Gmain offers a picturesque setting in winter that captivates everyone. Nestled in the quiet and snow-covered landscape of the Berchtesgadener Land, the path winds through a dreamy forest whose trees look majestic under the weight of fresh snow. The path offers families with small children a perfect combination of relaxing movement through snowy landscapes and exciting winter adventure on the nearby toboggan run in the Alpgarten.
From the bus stop, we walk about 10 minutes towards the hiking center, the starting point of our hike. Here we set out on the beautifully snow-covered Forest Idyll Path, which takes us about 2 hours on easy paths through snowy winter landscapes. We first follow the railway line and then follow the Weißbach downstream. Along the way, there are recurring information boards on interesting topics such as vegetation and geology of the region. On the Maisweg, we return towards the starting point.
