The Noriker – A horse with a history! An interactive exhibition about horses and humans in the Hohe Tauern National Park.

In the Noriker Museum, designed according to the latest research and museum education guidelines, the exhibition “The Noriker – A horse with a history! An interactive exhibition about horses and humans in the Hohe Tauern National Park” presents the natural and cultural history of the Noriker horse in an engaging way. The name Noriker is derived from the Roman province of Noricum. The breed has undergone many changes to become its present type and is now bred in five bloodlines. This horse breed is particularly suited for draft, riding and pack work. The exhibition showcases this horse in all its activities, movements and behaviors using the latest technology. 

The Dialect Archive collects all available written sources in our regional dialect, including those from the Mitterpinzgau and Pongau regions up to Pass Lueg, as well as audio documents and video recordings of dialect creators.
