Kuchl: Truckenthanalm and Nesslangeralm
Starting point Kuchl: There follow two alpine pastures, a waterfall and fabulous views of the Göll east face.
The Nesslangeralm at the foot of the Hoher Göll is a popular hiking destination, easily reachable from the Kuchl S-Bahn station. The route over the Schleierfall and the Truckenthanalm is varied and mostly leads through the shady Wenger forest. On the Nesslangeralm you can stop at the weekend and enjoy the view of the steep rock walls. In summer take swimwear and complete the hike with a swim in the Bürgerausee.

Directions
From Kuchl station westwards, past the Bürgerausee and over the Salzach bridge. Turn right onto Unterweißenbachstraße and take the second turning left into Gasteigweg. This leads under the motorway and then sharp right towards the forest to the signposts. Right along the tractor path parallel to the motorway, past the fence behind which usually a few curious pigs peek out. The hiking trail joins a forest road and a street leading to a house at Weißenbach. In front of the building, the nicely laid out narrow hiking trail branches off to the left, steeply over a meadow to the Schleierfall. Follow the trail markings through the Wenger forest up to the Truckenthanalm. After the hut on the alpine meadow, continue climbing right. Crossing several small streams heading south to the Nesslangeralm. Descent past the Kuchl ski hut across the meadow into the forest. Always follow the markings to the Hochschaufler guesthouse. Through the houses and down a meadow on a tractor path to a gate. Here the path leads back into the forest. Arriving at a clearing, follow the forest edge to the signposts from the ascent and back over Gasteigweg to the S-Bahn station.
